I can only say great things about and heap an abundance of laudatory praise upon Long Beach Guitar Repair.

These guys are super-knowledgeable and make sure that their work is done right.

I can't imagine entrusting my guitar equipment to anyone else but Long Beach Guitar Repair - not just for the detailed, on-point service they provide but also for their spot-on advice, patience, and willingness to explain technical machinations to someone like me - who is non-technical and asks a lot of questions.

You can tell that Guillermo, Brian, and Chris really love and are into what they do; the pride they take in their efforts is evident in the outcomes of their work, and they go out of their way to do it right and make sure that you're happy. These guys are true pros with a strong customer orientation. They are especially good at improvised/creative solutions and custom work (ie. stuff that's not in the manual.)

Hands down excellent service! Very knowledgeable staff. Been here twice, once to get my guitar set up and another time to get the edges of my guitar neck rounded off. Overall very happy with both experiences! They have won my trust with the quality of work they do. Will definitely continue to come in the future for any of my guitar/bass fixes or upgrades.

Took my Thunderbird bass in to have new hand wound pickups installed, new harness installed and set up. Chris did the work and it sounds and feels like a whole different bass. Very happy with the work and glad we have a local shop that does great work. Keep it up guys!

Outstanding service.  All three of the guys seemed extremely knowledgeable and competent.  They enjoy what they are doing, and they do it very well.

First off, the knowledge and professional nature of the techs here are outstanding. My 1990 musicman 5 bass was ready for a pro set up after 15 years of me tweaking it and beating the crap out it. I didn't get the techs name but he was educated in exactly what was wrong. New jack, microphonic pickup. Didn't take long and the set up was perfect. No hum, no feedback, perfect. 20 years of death metal and gnarly gigs vanished. Price was way less than expected and will be bringing my second 2004 musicman 5'er for the same set up.

I brought my bass in for a setup and to put a custom ramp in. Chris was super helpful and knew his stuff. The turnaround was very quick, and the price for the whole thing was beyond reasonable. I will definitely be bringing in more instruments. It's very hard to find a shop like this with friendly staff who get the job done on time. I took the bass out for a spin last night and was very happy. The action was terrific without fretbuzz and the new ramp would make Gary Willis jealous. Awesome!

I brought my 1970 Ramirez classical guitar to Long Beach Guitar Repair for some adjustments. As soon as I gave my guitar to Guillermo, he took one look at the label inside and started telling ME all about my guitar: where it was made, first-hand information about the shop in Madrid, the specifics about the wood, shape, and philosophy they used back then, and how he knew that time period was a particularly good one for them (in terms of the quality of their workmanship).  He's a true expert in the field, both in terms of his knowledge and his technical expertise, and the work he did was fantastic!  It feels like a completely different guitar--much more playable, great sound, etc.

I can't say enough about how good a job Guillermo did.  I will never take my guitar anywhere else.

Absolutely love and trust Long Beach Guitar Repair!  Recently had setups done including work on my input jacks, and volume/tone knobs, on my Clapton Fender Strat and Semi-hollow body Hammer.  I couldn't believe the difference in playing before and after.  Intonation is amazing, each note ringing sweet and clear.  So much more fun to play!  I knew I was leaving my guitars in good hands.

Brian and the guys were fast, professional, and helpful in identifying my needs.  Would highly recommend Long Beach Guitar Repair for players and guitars of all levels.  Thank you so much!  Can't wait to visit the shop again!!

If I could give him 6 stars, I would.

This store has a high level of expertise, quality, and customer satisfaction. The guys are all former World of Strings luthiers. You know their reputation. Cris, Brian, and Guillermo are extremely knowledgeable, skilled, helpful, and friendly.

They've done work on my Taylor 810, Hiroshi Komori Classical, and various electrics. They even custom build instruments to your specs.

This is a shop where you can go in with confidence that you will be treated right and dealt with honesty. They will let you know if your instrument's problem is a simple adjustment that takes a minute, or a serious problem that's waiting to reveal itself.

I've gone to other shops with instrument problems I was aware of to test their credibility and pricing. Long Beach Guitar Repair has earned my trust and confidence. They are my go to shop for setups, repairs, and modifications.

My first experience was excellent.  I only used them for a setup with pickup and jack replacement, but with a semi-hollow and no access cavity, that is still a task.  The guitar plays better than ever, and I was amazed by the quick turnaround.
